Effect of Application of Palm Bunch Ash on the Growth and Yield of Eggplant (<i>Solanum melongena</i> L.) in a Pineapple Orchard

The experiment was conducted at Akwa Ibom State University Teaching and Research Farm Obio Akpa Campus during the 2020 first planting season to evaluate effect of application palm bunch ash on growth yield eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in an established pineapple orchard. laid out a randomized complete block design replicated three times. treatments were five (5) different rates Oil - 1.0ton/ha, 2.0tons/ha, 3.0tons/ha, 4.0tons/ha control (0ton/ha no fertilizer). Data collected for parameters subjected analysis variance. Significant means compared with least significant differences (P<0.05) 5% probability level. Result showed (P<0.005) all (plant height, number leaves, stem girth, leaf area) (number fruits/ plant, length fruits/plant, circumference fruits/plant). Treatment produced higher values plant 2, 4 6, 8 weeks after planting, while lowest height recorded 1.0ton/ha treatment 4, treatment. oil also had significantly girth area planting. Higher fruits/plant (17.30), (12.50cm), (15.75cm) fruit (20.13t/ha) obtained (4.77), (10.43cm), (13.11cm) (5.42t/ha) 1.0t/ha
